Game 1:
Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Survive NTCC Eagle Softball
Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers got out to a 4-run lead in the third inning and held on for a 7-6 victory over NTCC Eagle Softball on Wednesday. NTCC Eagle Softball closed the gap by scoring on an error, a solo home run, a triple, a pop out, and a single.
Maka Flores collected three hits in three at bats in the win. Flores singled in the fifth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the third inning.
Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers opened the scoring in the first after Buggy Kaopuiki grounded out, scoring one run.
Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Malia Plourde singled to center field, Yasmin Gallarzo doubled to left field, and Kaopuiki singled to center field, each scoring one run.
NTCC Eagle Softball tied the game in the top of the fifth thanks to a solo home run to center field by Kyndal Yaross, a triple by Conlee Zachry, and a tag up by Zachry.
A single by Flores gave Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers the lead, 7-5, in the bottom of the fifth.
Makenzie Bohannon stepped in the circle first for Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers. The pitcher gave up seven hits and five runs (three earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out two and walking two. Casey Jones started in the circle for NTCC Eagle Softball. The hurler gave up six hits and four runs over two innings, striking out none and walking none. Mia Harper and Sydney Millea each appeared in relief for Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers.
Flores and Gallarzo each collected three hits for Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers.
Morgan Hill, Preslielyn Bareaza, Hope Grant, and Mya Bradshaw each collected two hits for NTCC Eagle Softball. Grant, Yaross, Bradshaw, and Zachry each drove in one run for NTCC Eagle Softball. Sarai Cruz-Camacho led NTCC Eagle Softball with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating five walks for the game. NTCC Eagle Softball ran wild on the base paths, tallying three stolen bases for the game.

Big Sixth Inning Leads Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Past NTCC Eagle Softball
Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers scored seven runs in the sixth inning, which helped them defeat NTCC Eagle Softball 10-4 on Wednesday at Mt Pleasant. an error scored one run, Malia Plourde singled, scoring two runs, Buggy Kaopuiki singled, scoring one run, and Morgan Faunce singled, scoring three runs.
NTCC Eagle Softball got on the board in the first inning after Conlee Zachry drew a walk, scoring one run.
Kaopuiki homered to right field, which helped Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers tie the game at one in the bottom of the second.
In the top of the third, NTCC Eagle Softball broke up the tie when Peyton Holland hit a solo home run to left field. Then a single by Zachry followed to extend the lead to 3-1.
Crip Jackson singled to center field, which helped Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers tie the game at three in the bottom of the fourth.
A single by Zachry gave NTCC Eagle Softball the lead, 4-3, in the top of the fifth.

The right-handed pitcher gave up nine hits and eight runs (three earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking two.

Plourde, Kaopuiki, Christina Gegg, Faunce, and Jackson each collected two hits for Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers.
