BOSSIER CITY, La. - The Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers cruised to an easy 9-1 run-rule victory over Trinity Valley Community College on Friday at the BPCC Softball Field.

Leading 2-0 going into the bottom of the fifth, Bossier Parish scored four runs in the fifth inning to take a 6-0. The offensive firepower by the Lady Cavaliers was provided by Rachel Yocum, Abi Cole, and Haley Ebey, who each had RBIs in the inning. Yocum hit her fourth home run of season with a line drive shot over the right-center field wall. Uchenna Jong Loy also had a homer in the third inning.

Kaitlyn Roth went six innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out seven and walking one to earn her 13th win of the season. 

With the doubleheader sweep of the Cardinals, BPCC improves its overall record to 27-11 and 7-7 in Region XIV, while the two losses drops TVCC to 17-14 overall and 6-8 in region play.
