Holiday hoops to take place at Bossier Parish Community College

BOSSIER, CITY, LA- Bossier Parish Community College is hosting the 3rd annual Decari Markray Classic this week. Six basketball games will take place on campus over two days this week. The Decari Markray Classic will feature four NJCAA division 1 teams, two from Region 14, Bossier Parish Community College and Navarro College, and two from Region 23, Baton Rouge Community College and Delgado Community College.


Monday's action will include Baton Rouge Community College and Navarro College at 5pm followed by Bossier Parish Community College and Delgado Community College at 7pm.


Tuesday will feature four college teams and four local high school teams. Navarro and Delgado will play the first game at 11am followed by Bossier Parish and Baton Rouge at 1pm. In the night cap, Doyline High School will play against Plain Dealing High School at 5:30pm followed by Bossier High School and Evangel Christian Academy at 7:30pm.


The two-day classic was started in November of 2022 to honor former Doyline High School and Bossier Parish Community College standout, Decari Markray, who tragically passed away in October of 2021.
