Cavaliers’ Comeback Stuns Seahawks

BOSSIER CITY, LA- BPCC defeated Lamar State College- Port Arthur 84-73 in Region XIV play Wednesday night. The Cavaliers used a 15-4 run to close out the final five minutes of the game.

BPCC led the visiting Seahawks for the majority of the first half. Lamar State went on a 13-4 run to start the second half. Made baskets after three consecutive steals from Elijah Beard, Jon'Quarius McGhee, and D'Marcus Hall swung momentum back in the Cavaliers' favor.

Kendrick Delahoussaye led the Cavaliers in scoring with 17 points on 7-10 shooting. Delahoussaye added seven rebounds and five assists. Eric McKnight was perfect from the floor on the night. The Sophomore went 4-4 from the field and 4-4 from the free throw line. Both Logan Turner and Jon'Quarius McGhee registered 10 points. D'Marcus Hall finished with 10 points in his first game back from injury.

BPCC will return to a newly designed gym floor in Billy Montgomery Gymnasium Saturday. The Cavaliers will take on Panola College at 2pm in their first game on campus since November 30th.
