Meet the Cavaliers (Part 2) - Jaylen McDonald and Jeremy Richard

BOSSIER CITY, La. - Louisiana natives Jaylen McDonald and Jeremy Richard are featured in Part 2 of Bossier Parish Community College Men's Basketball's "Meet the Cavaliers" series.

Jaylen McDonald

Red River High School - Coushatta, La.

Red River High School product, Jaylen McDonald comes to BPCC after leading the RRHS Bulldogs to a 22-8 record and a District 3-2A title. McDonald was a First-Team All-District, Seconnd-Team All-State, and Second-Team All-Area selection. In his senior season, McDonald averaged 18 points and eight rebounds a game for Red River High School Head Coach Keith Johnson.

"JMac was a vital part of us having as much success this past season as we did," said Johnson. "He was a relentless rebounder and a prolific scorer. He took the team and put us on his shoulders many games. He is a work horse with very deceptive speed. He has a nose for the ball both offensively and defensively. He's a proven winner who quietly does HIS job and he does it well."

Jeremy Richard

Oakleaf Post Grad Academy - Jacksonville, Fla.

Jeremy Richard, a Jarreau, La. native, joins the Cavaliers after a season at Oakleaf Post Grad Basketball Academy in Jacksonville, Fla. At Oakleaf, Richard averaged 25 points, five rebounds, and five assists on his way to being named All-Florida Post Grad Most Valuable Player, National Post Grad Most Valuable Player and Region Post Grad Most Valuable Player. Richard is a Livonia High School graduate where he finished his senior season 23-13 under coach Toby St. Cyr.

"Jeremy Richard was arguably the best two-way player in Post Grad this year," Oakleaf head coach Mark Young said. "I believe that Jeremy will make an immediate impact on the floor because of his ability to make players around him better."
