Bossier Parish ranked No. 25 in latest NJCAA Division I poll

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - For the first time in nearly two decades the Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers basketball team is ranked in the National Junior College Athletic Association's Top 25 Men's Basketball Poll. Click here to view the latest poll.

It's believed that the last time a Bossier Parish team was ranked was in the 1998-99 season, when the Cavaliers were ranked eighth in the final NJCAA poll after finishing with 26-5 record. That was the final season for coach Mike McConathy, who is the current head coach at Northwestern State University. McConathy compiled an impressive 352 wins in his 16 years as the BPCC head coach.

Bossier Parish (13-1, 3-1) continues Region XIV play tonight at Coastal Bend (4-7, 1-4) before returning to the Coach Billy Montgomery Gym on Sat., Jan. 12 when the Cavaliers host Jacksonville College at 4 p.m.
