Bossier Parish Beats Northeast 10-8

In a thrilling Region 14 North Division baseball clash on April 16, 2025, Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) overcame an early deficit to defeat Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) 10-8 at BPCC's home field in Bossier City, Louisiana. Powered by a potent offensive outburst led by Parker Gwyn's two home runs and clutch pitching down the stretch

The game started with NTCC jumping out to a commanding 4-0 lead in the early innings, putting BPCC's resilience to the test. The Eagles' bats came out hot, capitalizing on aggressive hitting. However, BPCC's offense, known for its depth and firepower, refused to stay quiet.

Parker Gwyn ignited the Cavaliers' comeback, crushing two home runs and driving in multiple runs to spark the rally. His first homer cut into NTCC's lead, and his second, a towering shot, swung momentum firmly in BPCC's favor. Jacob Gillis added to the power surge with a home run of his own, further fueling the Cavaliers' charge. Dylan Biddick also played a pivotal role, going 3-for-4 at the plate and providing consistent offensive pressure.

Brandon Levy gave the Cavs offense its last clutch moment of the day as he singled up the middle with 2 outs in the 8th to drive in 2 runs. Cam Williams proved instrumental on the mound, delivering 3.1 innings of quality relief to stabilize the game after the early deficit. His ability to limit NTCC's scoring opportunities gave BPCC's offense the chance to take control.

As the game entered the late stages, NTCC mounted a comeback attempt, narrowing the gap and threatening to tie the score. In the eighth inning, Jake Skelly came up clutch, recording key outs to strand NTCC runners and preserve BPCC's lead. The Cavaliers turned to Zander Bretza in the ninth, and the closer delivered a dominant performance, striking out two batters to secure the save and lock down the 10-8 victory.
The series between the Cavs and the Eagles will conclude Friday @ Bossier for a 1pm doubleheader.
