Bossier Parish Baseball Picks Up the Doubleheader Sweep Against SAU-Tech

Bossier Parish turned in a dominant performance as they swept a doubleheader against SAU-Tech, showcasing solid offense and stellar pitching across both games. The Cavaliers displayed all-around excellence, with key performances from several players.

Game 1: Bossier Parish 10, SAU-Tech 0

The first game was a team effort, with Bossier Parish's offense finding success and their pitching staff keeping SAU-Tech in check. The Cavaliers were led at the plate by Hayden Stringfellow and Tyrus Hall, who each tallied two hits. Stringfellow's contributions came in clutch moments, while Hall's offensive presence helped extend rallies. Dylan Biddick, Parker Gwyn, Andy Roman, and Ivan Beltran-Olmo each added a hit, rounding out the offensive efforts for Bossier Parish.

On the mound, Jaden Bahl delivered a strong performance, going four innings and allowing just two hits while striking out four. His command kept the SAU-Tech batters off balance. Garett Blanchard followed up with a solid inning of relief, surrendering no hits and striking out one batter to keep the momentum in Bossier Parish's favor and securing the win.

Game 2: Bossier Parish 6, SAU-Tech 5

The Cavaliers continued their strong play in the second game, securing the sweep with a 6-5 victory. The offense came alive again, with Hunter Fontenot, Ivan Beltran-Olmo, and Tyrus Hall each recording two hits. Fontenot's bat was especially key, providing some crucial clutch hits, while Hall continued to stay hot at the plate as well. Beltran-Olmo also continued his consistent hitting, adding to the Cavaliers' offensive firepower. Dylan Biddick, Parker Gwyn, Zander Bretza, and Andy Roman all contributed one hit each.

On the mound, Jake Skelly was outstanding, going four innings and allowing just one hit. His control and ability to keep hitters guessing kept SAU-Tech from getting anything going offensively. Brandon Levy followed up with two strong innings of relief, giving up no hits. Zander Bretza also pitched an inning, helping to seal the victory for Bossier Parish with an efficient performance on the mound.

The Cavaliers will be back in action Monday as they take on Kellogg Community College at 1pm. The game will be played at Centenary College in Shreveport, La.
