Cavalier Baseball Has 7 Make All Star Game

The Cavs had a major prescence at last weekends Region 5 and Region 14 junior college all star game at Dallas Baptist University. The event is a major scouting session as over 200 NCAA and MLB scouts were in attendance.
 
Parker Gwyn (Lafayette,La/ Acadiana High school) - hit 358, 14 doubles, 29 rbi and stole 11 bases in the 24 season. He was named 2nd team all conference 2nd baseman. He will be a steady bat and defender in the middle of the lineup for the Cavs this season.
 
Dylan Biddick (Lafayette/La/ Lafayette High) Biddick - The sweet swinging left handed outfielder hit 368, 12 doubles, 3 homeruns, and 32 rbi for the 24 season. Biddick went on the lead the Texas Collegiate Summer League with a .453 on base % while posting a top 5 league batting average of 348.
 
Hayden Stringfellow (Boerne, Texas) -Stringfellow hit 310, 10 doubles while smashing 8 homeruns and driving in 34 runs for his 24 season.  The strong armed 3rd baseman looks poised for a big 25 campaign as he is swinging the bat well this fall. Stringfellow had 2 hits , one being a home run over the left field wall in the all star game.
 
Tyrus Hall (Victoria, Canada)- Hall hit 307, 7 doubles, 5 triples, 4 homeruns, and 22 stolen bases for the 24 season. He was named 2nd team all conference shortstop. Hall is one of the top SS prospects in all of junior college baseball with elite athleticism, glove skills, and speed.  Hall had 2 hits and an impressive showing at all star weekend. He will be a coveted addition to a D1 roster and was turned in for the MLB draft last summer.
 
Jake Guidry (Lafayette, La / Lafayette High) Guidry made 10 starts, threw 49 innings and struck out 37 batters for the Cavs in 2024. The right hander will find significant innings again for the Cavs and his combination of pitches will create value as he moves up the ranks. The highly competitive Guidry also had a big summer in the Texas Collegiate League posting a 2.81 era in 16 innings with 15 strikeouts.
 
Zander Bretza (Santa Ana, California) Bretza transferred to BPCC after playing and pitcing 8 innings last season for the UNLV Rebels. Bretza will fill a role for the Cavs this season in the back of the bullpen. The high energy reliever with plus arm talent should be a force at the end of games. Johnny Mcdonald who was the Cavs closer last year finished top 10 in the county in saves and was signed by Creighton after his freshman season. Bretza was heavily recruited by the Cavs to fill this role left by Mcdonald . 
 
Jaden Bahl (Roundrock, Texas) Bahl led the Cavs innings last season with 64 while making 16 starts and posting a 5-4 record. The righthander has a plus fastball in the low to mid 90's with a plus breaking ball. He is expected to be a top pitcher in Region 14 this season and will be another heavily recruited player.
 
All three pitchers, Bretza, Guidry and Bahl threw scoreless innings at the all star game.
