Cavaliers Baseball Splits Doubleheader With Hill College

Bossier City, La- The Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers got the split yesterday with the Hill College Rebels. The offense struggled the first game in the 5-0 loss but came alive in the second game for the 12-2 win.

Bryce Chambers started game one and went three and two thirds innings, struck out five and allowed one hit. Trevor Wall took the loss for the Cavaliers going two thirds of an inning and giving up three runs on three hits.

In game two the bats came alive, totaling 12 hits and 12 runs. Austin Breedlove got the start and the win for the Cavaliers in which he held the Hill College offense to two runs and four hits in three and two thirds innings. Nick Gray, Santino Rao, Simon Grinberg and Emil Estrella led the offense with multiple hits. Estrella also homered which sparked the onslaught for the offense in the Cavaliers favor.

The Cavs will open conference Saturday against Tyler Junior College at home in Bossier City, La. Game one of the doubleheader is set for 1 p.m.
