BOSSIER CITY – The Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers men’s basketball team remained undefeated Wednesday night, earning their first road victory of the season with a 90–74 win over Centenary College JV. The victory pushes the Cavaliers to a 3–0 start under first-year Head Coach Jeff Moore.
Balanced scoring and disciplined defense defined the Cavaliers’ performance in their first road test of the year. Tony Montgomery led the way with 18 points, 3 assists, and 5 rebounds, while Zequan “Z” Lewis added 15 points, continuing his consistent offensive production. Yoav Botzer contributed 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals, while Drew Cooper tallied 14 points and provided a steady presence inside. Antonis Kalavros was a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc, finishing with 9 points, and Drin Tafilaj anchored the defense with 8 rebounds to go along with 2 points.
Head Coach Jeff Moore praised the team’s composure and effort on the road.
“Winning on the road takes toughness and discipline, and our guys showed both tonight,” Moore said. “We stayed locked in, trusted each other, and handled business. This group is growing with every game, and I’m proud of the way they continue to compete.”
The Cavaliers return home this Saturday, November 15, for Homecoming against Southern University–Shreveport. Tip-off is set for 2pm in the Coach Billy Montgomery Gymnasium (6220 East Texas Street in Bossier City), with Homecoming festivities taking place at halftime.
