BOSSIER CITY – The Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers men’s basketball team shook off a sluggish start Tuesday night to earn their second victory of the season with a commanding 96–58 triumph over Louisiana Christian University JV.
Forward Drew Cooper led the Cavaliers with 18 points and five rebounds, pacing a balanced offensive effort that saw five players score in double figures. Tony Montgomery added 13 points, four assists, and four steals, while Yoav Botzer contributed 11 points and three assists. Dustin Welch also scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds, and Drin Tafilaj chipped in 10 points to round out the team’s top performers.
The win gives BPCC early momentum as they continue their non-conference schedule. The Cavaliers will play their first road game of the season Wednesday, November 12, against Centenary College JV, a team they defeated 105–78 in the home opener.
The Cavaliers return home for their Homecoming Game on Saturday, November 15, at 2 p.m. in the Coach Billy Montgomery Gymnasium. The BPCC Homecoming Court will be recognized during a special halftime presentation.
