Women's cross country competes as a team for the first time

BOSSIER CITY - Katherine Parker, Marlene Tejeda, Kelly Willis and Britney Holland competed in the 2019 Border Dash Invitational on Friday, Sept. 13 at South Bossier Park. Even though the four runners didn't place, they competed wearing the maroon and gold colors of Bossier Parish Community College. They competed as the Lady Cavaliers cross country for the first time in two years. 

In the five kilometer race, Parker was the leading BPCC runner with a time of 34:16.9, while Tejeda was right behind her with a 35:18.6. Willis completed the course at 37:11.9 and Holland ran a 48:56.1.
