Lady Jaguars use strong fourth quarter to pull away from Lady Cavaliers

BOSSIER CITY, La. - Southern University-Shreveport used a 25-point fourth quarter to pull away from the Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers and win 80-63 Saturday at the Coach Billy Montgomery Gym.

Leading 55-45 entering the fourth quarter, the SUSLA Lady Jaguars outscored the BPCC Lady Cavaliers 25-18 in the final period to win going away. SUSLA was led by Tecona Barkley, who scored a game-high 23 points. Three other Lady Jags score in double figures, including Ah'Million Cosby with 16, Brianasia Owens with 15 and Sasha Goody with 14.

BPCC, which never led in the game, was led by guard Autumn Goram who scored a team-high 21 points. The only other Lady Cavalier to reach double figures was Gabby Dodson who scored 13 points. 

With the win, SUSLA improves to 3-3 on the season, while the loss drops BPCC to 0-4. The Lady Cavaliers travel to Eunice, La. on Saturday, Nov. 22, for their next game where they'll take on the LSU Eunice Bengals. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the LSUE HPRE Center.
