Lady Cavaliers Split with LSUE

In the first game, both teams were strong in the circle on Wednesday, but the Lady Cavaliers defeated LSUE 2-1. Macie LaRue started the game for the Lady Cavaliers and recorded 21 outs. LaRue Struck out 10 batters on the day.The righty also gave up three hits and one run over seven innings while walking two. An error put LSUE on the board in the bottom of the first.

 

Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers took the lead in the top of the fifth. Madison Ruiz doubled, scoring two runs, to give Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers the edge,2-1.

 

Reagan Rios started the game for LSUE. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out three and walking three.

 

Mckenzie Vestal,Ruiz,and Skylar Hegar each collected one hit for Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers. Ruiz went 1 for 2 at the plate as she led the team with two runs batted in.

 

Sara Roussel, Mckenna Howell, and Sina Ballew each collected one hit for LSUE. LSue turned one double play in the game. LSUE were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Reagan Duty had the most chances int he field with six.

 

In the second game, the Lady Cavaliers fell to LSUE 5-1 on Wednesday. LSUE got on the board in the bottom of the first inning Howell singled, and Reagan duty hit into a fielder's choice, each scoring a run. LSUE added one run in the second. Roussel singled making the score 3-1. LSUE scored two runs on the bottom of the sixth on a homerun to right field by Gracie Bailey.

 

Brielle Moreno opened the game for the Lady Cavs. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and three runs over four innings, striking out none and walking three. Mckenna Howell stepped in the circle first for LSUE. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and one run (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out six and walking none.

 

Taysia Constantino went 2 for 3 at the plate as the right-handed hitter led the team with one run batted in. Lady Cavaliers turned one double play in the game. The lady Cavaliers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Skylar had the most chances in the field with nine.

 

Gracie Bailey led LSUE with two runs batted in. She went 1 for 1 on the day. Bailey, Rills, Howell, Tate, and Roussel each collected one hit for LSUE.
