BPCC Lady Cavaliers Triumph Over UA Rich Mountain

Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers got on the board in the first inning after Briana Deleon grounded out driving in one run. BPCC added another run in the second with McKenzie Vestal's sacrifice fly, making the score 2-0. The Lady Cavaliers scored again in the top of the fifth with a deep fly ball to center field from Debra Tofi that allowed Madison ruiz to score, growing the lead to 3-0. McKenzie Vestal laid down a squeeze bunt in the top of the sixth to allow Serena Hopkins to score on the fielder's choice. The final score of the game came from Debra Tofi in the top of the 7th, when she hit a deep fly ball that carried over the right field wall. 

Isabelle Arguello led things off in the circle for BPCC. The right handed pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over three inning, striking out two and walking one. Morgan Benge and Brielle Moreno each threw shutout innings in relief for the Lady Cavaliers.

Tofi went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead BPCC in hits. Vestal and Tofi each drove in two runs. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks. Being led by Skylar Heger, with two walks. 

The Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers will resume play on Saturday February 17th, when they take on the Lady Dolphins of Alvin Community College. The games are slotted for 12:00pm and 3:30pm.
