Big Third Inning Leads Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Past UA Rich Mountain

Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers defeated UA Rich Mountain 6-0 on Wednesday at University of Arkansas Rich Mountain thanks in part four runs in the third inning. Madison Ruiz doubled, scoring three runs, and Skylar Heger singled scoring one.

BPCC Lady Cavaliers were the first to get on the board in the second when Heger hit a solo home run to center field.

Macie LaRue began the game for BPCC. They allowed one hit and zero runs over four inning, striking out seven and only walking one. Mckenna Bittle led things off in the circle for UA Rich Mountain. The starting pitcher surrendered eight hits and six runs (five earned) over five innings striking out one and walking two. Rylee Glenn threw three innings of zero-run ball for the Lady Cavaliers in relief. The righty gave up two hits, and walked one batter.

Ruiz, Heger, Piper Garcia, and Briana Deleon each collected two hits for BPCC. Ruiz drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Lady Cavaliers with three runs batted in. The center fielder went 2-for-4. BPCC did not commit a single error in the field.
