Mabry Smith registers her second straight complete game shutout to lead BPCC to 10-0 win over SAU Tech

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Mabry Smith threw her second consecutive complete-game shutout to lead Bossier Parish Community College to a 10-0 win over SAU Tech in five innings on Saturday afternoon at the BPCC Softball Field.

Smith tossed five scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, striking out 10 and walking none to lead the Lady Cavs to their 12th straight win and a 4-0 record in the round-robin tournament.

With the game deadlocked in a scoreless tie through three-and-a-half innings, BPCC erupted for all 10 of its runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Samantha Eckert, Haylee Ladner, Hailey Pence, Nicollette Blenker, Haily Ebey, and Eckert all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

 

The Lady Cavaliers pounded out 10 hits in the game. Ebey, Eckert, Ruby Butler, and Blenker all collected multiple hits for BPCC.

With their 12th straigh win, the Lady Cavaliers improve their overall record to 19-6 on the season. BPCC begins Region XIV play on Wed., March 11 when it plays host to Navarro College in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
