BOSSIER CITY, LA - Sophomore Mabry Smith tossed a complete-game shutout to lead the Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers past the Baton Rouge Community College Bears 7-0 on Friday.

Smith, a Texarkana, Texas native and a transfer from Ouachita Baptist, scattered four hits over seven innings, while walking five and striking out nine to earn her sixth win of the season.

BPCC scored four runs in the fifth inning to take a commanding 6-0 lead. A bases-loade triple by Haylee Ladner and a sacrifice fly by Hailey Pence plated the four runs.

BRCC's Leanne Lain went six innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits and striking out two in the losing effort.

The Lady Cavaliers had seven hits on the day, two each by Haily Ebey and Ladner. Pence homered to lead off the fourth inning.
