Ebey hits walk-off three-run home run to lift Bossier Parish past Navarro in dramatic game two

BOSSIER CITY - Haily Ebey hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers a dramatic 9-8 walk-off win over the Navarro College Bulldogs in game two of a Region XIV doubleheader Wednesday at the BPCC Softball Field.

Trailing 8-4 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Emily Hardy started the Lady Cavaliers rally with solo homer to center field. After Rachel Yocum grounded out, Ruby Butler walked then scored on Hailey Pence's single. Abi Cole followed with a single, then Ebey blasted an 0-1 pitch over the left field wall for a three-run, walkoff home run to give the Lady Cavaliers the dramatic 9-8 come-from-behind win.

Dorrie Cormier picked up the win in relief of Jenna James for the Lady Cavs. Cormier tossed the final three innings, allowed just three hits and no runs, while walking none and striking out one to earn the victory. James allowed eight hits and eight runs over four innings.

BPCC collected 10 hits hits on the day. Ebey, Pence, and Abi Cole each had multiple hits for the Lady Cavaliers. In addition to the two seventh inning homers, Stacey Landry hit one out in the second inning. 

With the doubleheader sweep, the Lady Cavaleirs improve to 36-14 overall and 12-10 in Region XIV play. The two losses drops Navarro to 22-23 overall and 9-13 in region play.
