Men's cross country finishes second at Border Dash Invitational

BOSSIER CITY - The Bossier Parish Community College men's cross country team finished second behind rival Jacksonville College in the 2019 Border Dash Invitational Friday, Sept. 13 at South Bossier Park.

Jacksonville finished first with a score of 17, while BPCC came in second with a score of 52. Jarvis Christian was third with 82 points, while Louisiana College finished fourth with 96 points. Texas College had runners in the event but not enough to qualify for a team score.

In the men's eight kilometer race, sophomore Xavier Wilson was BPCC's top runner posting a time of 29:21.4 to finish fourth overall. Sophomores Austin Jacobsen and Rangel Miller finished ninth and 10th, respectively. Roderick Short placed 20th, while Scott Perez, Paden Sisterhen and Danny Brimmer finished in consecutive order 22nd, 23rd and 24th, to help the Cavaliers finish in second.
