BPCC men's cross county team places third at Nicole Leman Invitational

LONGVIEW, Texas - The Bossier Parish Community College men's cross country team finished third in the Nicole Leman Invitational here Friday, Aug. 30. The meet was hosted by LeTourneau University.

"This team has a lot of potential, and now I have a good idea of where we need to get to with this team," said BPCC head coach Kent Falting. "I'm grateful to coach these guys and excited to see how far we go."

Region XIV rival Jacksonville College finished first with a score of 33, edging out host LeTourneau which finished second with a score of 34. BPCC was third with 80 points, while East Texas Baptist finished fourth with 84 points.

Sophomore Xavier Wilson was BPCC's top runner posting a time of 17:27.3 to finish seventh overall. Sophomores Austin Jacobsen and Rangel Miller finished 11th and 12th, respectively.
