VICTORIA, TEXAS- The Cavaliers proved to be too much for Victoria College Saturday afternoon. BPCC traveled to Victoria for a Region XIV contest and left with a 95-90 victory.
Despite all five starters battling foul trouble in the first half, the Cavaliers saw four of the five finish in double figures. Seven Cavilers scored in double figures on the night. Both Kendrick Delahoussaye and Damani Claxton registered 14 points. Christian Caldwell finished the game with 12 points and 13 rebounds, his fourth double-double of the season. Hugo Clarkin chipped in 10 points and blocked three shots.
In one of his best games of the season, Elijah Beard scored 17 points while shooting 5-11 from the field, 3-7 from three, and 4-4 from the free throw line. Beard also led BPCC in assists on the night with 6.
The Cavaliers (9-6) will be in action against Lamar State College- Port Arthur (7-9) at LSU-Shreveport Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30pm.
