Two Bossier Parish Cavaliers sign with NCAA Division I schools

BOSSIER CITY - In a ceremony Wednesday afternoon in Room A230 the John R. McConathy Administrative Building, Bossier Parish Community College basketball players Erie Olonade and Eric Parish signed National Letters of Intent to continue their education and basketball careers at NCAA Division I schools. Olonade, a 6'0" guard out of Houston, is signed with the UL Monroe Warhawks and coach Keith Richard. Parrish, a 6-7 forward, signed with the University of Nevada Wolfpack and coach Eric Musselman. The Wolf Pack is ranked sixth in the latest Associated Press poll. 

Olonade, who came to BPCC from Miles CC, is averaging 14.8 points and 3.8 assists per game for the Cavaliers. A transfer from the University of Akron, Parrish is averagin 17.3 points and 11 rebounds per game. Both players have started all four games for BPCC, which owns a 4-0 record and is coming off a hard-fought 64-58 over a previously undefeated McLennan team on Tuesday. Parrish had his best game so far this season as he poured in 22 points and hauled down 17 rebounds in the Cavs win over the Highlanders.
