Cavaliers Split with Paris Junior College

Paris Junior College scored five runs in the sixth inning, which helped them defeat Bossier Parish Community College on Saturday. Paris JC opened the scoring in the third after Luke Noack doubled, scoring one run. The Dragons scored five runs on six hits in the top of the sixth inning. Braize Mitchell homered to left field, scoring two runs, Holden Jatzlau hit a solo home run to right field, and Ethan Guerra singled, scoring two runs.

Jaden Bahl started on the mound for the Cavaliers. The right-handed pitcher gave up eight hits and six runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking one. Carson Blakeley opened the game for the Dragons. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out three and walking three.

 

Dylan Biddick, Tyrus Hall, Bennett Mittelsteadt, Hayden Stringfellow, and Emil Estrella each collected one hit for Bossier Parish Community College. Adam Garcia led the team with one run batted in. The Cavaliers were sure-handed and did not commit a single error. Garcia had the most plays with seven.

Paris Junior College tallied 11 hits in the game. Guerra provided pop in the middle of the lineup and led Paris with three runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 2-for-3 in the day. Noack led Paris with three hits in four at-bats from the lead-off position. Jackson Braun and Mitchell each collected multiple hits for the Dragons. Paris JC turned two double plays in the game. The Dragons did not commit a single error in the field. Jatzlau had the most chances in the field with four.

 

Bossier Parish Cavaliers dominate in game two with the help of Emil Estrella's Bat. Estrella hit two home runs and drove in three as the Cavs defeated the Dragons 10-3 on Saturday. Emil Estrella homered in the fourth and seventh innings.

Paris JC got on the board in the first inning after Preston Gamster hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. Bossier Parish took the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the fourth thanks to home runs by Estrella, and Daniel Pinkerton

Adam Garcia Homered to right field, scoring three runs in the bottom of the sixth. The Cavaliers added to their lead with four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning thanks to home runs by Hayden Stringfellow, Estrella, Pinkerton, and Tyrus Hall.

 

Garrett Blanchard pitched five innings in relief for Bossier Parish. The reliever surrendered five hits and one run while, striking out four and walking two. Jake Skelly opened the game for the Cavs. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out two and walking one. Cooper Golden stepped on the hill first for Paris. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and five runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking one.

Bossier Parish Cavaliers Tallied 13 hits in the game. Lead off hitter Dylan Biddick led Bossier Parish with three hits in five at bats. Pinkerton and Estrella hit multiple home runs for the Cavaliers. Garcia and Estrella each drove in three runs for Bossier Parish. Pinkerton and Stringfellow each collected multiple hits for Bossier. The Cavaliers turned one double play in the game. Bossier Parish did not commit a single error in the field. Hall had the most chances in the fied with seven.

 

Paris Junior College piled up nine hits in the game. Number eight hitter, Sebastian De La Cruz, showed the depth of Paris JC's line up, by leading them with three hits in four at bats. Gamster, Holden Jatzlau, and Dylan Schlotterback each drove in one run for the Dragons. Ethan Guerra and Luke Noack each collected multiple hits for Paris Junior College.
